Lockport Area Special Education Cooperative

The Communication Development Program serves children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade that have significant speech and language deficits that interfere with their education achievement in the general education setting and which cannot be appropriately addressed in resource and instructional program delivery models. The children receive intensive speech and language specialized supports and services. The student’s instruction is centered on the Common Cores Standards and Illinois Learning standards appropriate for the student’s grade level. Scientifically based research tools and strategies are implemented to guide student’s functional and academic development.
